On the Waterfront

When On the Waterfront started it did not catch my attention at all, but I continued to give it a chance. The movie had a very good plot, but then to me it seemed to be drawn out. The book explains that there is a film-viewing environment that makes movies better, because of the size of the screen, sound, and lighting. I'm not sure if that would have even helped this movie. The acting was pretty good, but they just needed more issues to the story line. I also think that I had to high of expectations when it came to this movie, which the book also explains that influence your film evaluation in a negative way. I think that they needed more mystery in the plot, because it seemed almost given away the entire movie, which is why I think I had such a hard time paying attention to this movie.
